The Maccabee Foundation

is a non-profit organization committed to the advancement of social equality through education. In order to promote its goals, the Maccabee Foundation focuses on assisting students in institutions of higher-education in Israel, while giving preference to students of Iranian origin. In addition, the Foundation supports academic research of the cultural legacy of Iranian Jews and Iranian Studies in general, and any other activity that promotes the Iranian community in Israel in the fields of education and the humanities.

The Maccabee Foundation

has assisted thousands of students in a large variety of academic institutions. In the last few years the Foundation gained a tremendous momentum in the number of students supported by the foundation, the number of projects and the geographical distribution of academic institutions supported by the Foundation. Alongside the routine operation of the Maccabee Foundation, we conduct annual examinations to re-evaluate the criteria and the priorities according to which the Foundation operates.
